Approach:

  • Ran deep discovery with internal Karmo users (fleet ops, sales, finance).
  • Prioritized critical dashboard features and mapped daily workflows.
  • Conducted usability interviews to ensure long-term scalability.
  • Delivered the first round of approved designs
  • Helped map Information Architecture
  • Started a design system library in Figma for the web app, keeping consistency with the already built mobile UI

Outcome:

A robust system that was to become the backbone for managing Karmo’s fleet and a foundation to build on and sell as white-label software for anyone looking for a fleet management system. While the relevant stakeholders responded well to the initial prototype, the next step was for the development team to start building.

Design a back-office platform to manage fleet data, including bookings, registration, maintenance, location, and ownership history.

Off the back of the mobile app, Karmo wanted to design a back-office platform to manage fleet data, including bookings, maintenance, location, and ownership history. Again, this product would be built for current Karmo fleet and site managers for their inventory. Once the software was built and tested, we would once again start piloting with high priority clients.
